For the past two years, I’ve been carrying around the idea of starting a weekly video series. Just me, taking a walk, sharing what’s on my heart and mind, and inviting others to reflect and connect. But you know what stopped me? Fear.
Fear of being judged.
Fear of not being perfect.
Fear of saying the wrong thing or looking the wrong way or failing before I even started.
And then this month, everything changed.
In January, my neighborhood book club started reading Mel Robbins’ The Let Them Theory, and it hit me like a lightning bolt. Mel’s words were simple yet so freeing: Let them.
Let them judge. Let them criticize. Let them roll their eyes or think it’s stupid. Let them do whatever they’re going to do because I can’t control it.
But what I can control is showing up, taking the risk, and letting go of perfection.
So, I finally did it. I recorded the first episode of my series, Walk & Talks with Caroline.
The First Walk: Perfectly Imperfect
The first video is, well...It’s rough. My lips are chapped. My arm gets tired halfway through. The sun is in my face, the wind blows my hair into my mouth, and car noises are everywhere.
But you know what? I love it. It’s the most imperfectly perfect video I’ve ever recorded because it’s real. As Brené Brown would call it, this is my FFT*. And just like with any first draft, the goal isn’t perfection—it’s starting. It’s showing up and having the courage to build from here.

What You Can Expect
Every week, I’ll be sharing a 5-10 minute (ok let's be real, closer to 10!) video on my Instagram and Facebook, inviting you to walk with me—literally and figuratively. These walks will be about:
Reflection: What’s on my heart and mind that week.
Connection: Thought-provoking questions for the Strengths on Site community to chew on and share.
Growth: Topics inspired by my work with clients, current trends, or personal moments that feel relevant and real.
Some weeks, we’ll dive into big themes. Other weeks, it’ll be light and playful. But no matter the topic, my goal is to keep it authentic, to keep it real, and to keep it consistent.
Why This Matters
This series isn’t just about me. It’s about us. It’s about creating a shared space where we can move our bodies, move our minds, and show up exactly as we are.
I’ll try new things, experiment, and grow along the way—and I hope you’ll stick with me through the journey. Your feedback matters to me, so don’t hold back. Tell me what resonates, what doesn’t, and what you’d like to see more of. I might have to chant "Let them, let them, let them" a few times when I read the feedback, but that's on me! Together, I believe we can create something truly magical.
Join Me
So, here’s my invitation: Follow me on Instagram and take a weekly walk with me.
Let’s reflect. Let’s connect. Let’s move forward—together.
And no matter where you are on your own journey, remember this: You don’t have to wait for perfection to start. You just have to take the first step.
Chin up. Crown on. I’ll see you next time!
Love,
Caroline
